Advances in Averaged Switch Modeling

چکیده

The averaged switch modeling technique unifies the modeling of PWM and resonant dc-dc converters, low-harmonic rectifiers, and inverters in a simple manner. This technique is briefly reviewed, and recent results in modeling current-programmed dc-dc converters, integrated single-phase low-harmonic rectifier-regulators, and single-switch three-phase lowharmonic rectifiers are described. A circuit element of importance in modeling these applications, the dependent power source, is also reviewed.

Averaged modeling of switched DC-DC converters based on Spice models of semiconductor switches

A generalization of the model of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) switch according to Dijk et al. [1] for averaged modeling of switched DC-DC converters is proposed. The original model by Dijk consists of controlled current and voltage sources for modeling the ideal active and passive switch. A new model, proposed in this paper, is based on the same strategy, but it takes into account the nonideal ...

Averaged Switch Modeling of Boundary Conduction Mode Dc-to-Dc Converters

Averaged switch approach is extended to the modeling of boundary conduction mode (BCM) dc-to-dc converters that operate at the boundary between continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). BCM dc-to-dc converters have smaller inductor size and reduced switching losses compared to CCM, and lower peak current compared to DCM. The large-signal BCM averaged switch model...

Fully Distributed Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of an Improved Non-Uniform Traveling Wave Structure

Modeling and simulation of communication circuits at high frequency are important challenges ahead in the design and construction of these circuits. Knowing the fact that the lumped element model is not valid at high frequency, distributed analysis is presented based on active and passive transmission lines theory. In this paper, a lossy transmission line model of traveling wave switch (TWSW) i...

Fractional Modeling and Analysis of Buck Converter in CCM Mode Peration

In this paper fractional order averaged model for DC/DC Buck converter in continues condition mode (CCM) operation is established. DC/DC Buck converter is one of the main components in the wind turbine system which is used in this research. Due to some practical restriction there weren’t exist input voltage and duty cycle of converter therefor whole of the wind system was simulated in Matlab/Si...

MODELING OF HIGH-POWER-FACTOR RECTIFIERS BASED ON SWITCHING CONVERTERS WITH NONLINEAR-CARRIER CONTRO - Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1996. PESC '96 Record., 27th Annual IEEE

The paper presents unified modeling and analysis of high-power-factor rectifiers based on switching converters with nonlinear-carrier control (NLC). In NLC control, which offers simple, high-performance power-factor correction (PFC), the switch duty ratio is obtained by comparing a signal derived from the switch current with a periodic nonlinear carrier. A general expression is derived for the ...
